This role is perfect for someone with a passion for understanding consumer needs, spotting trends, and creating the right product mix to captivate the Australian and New Zealand markets.As our next Buying Manager, you'll drive product assortment strategies, lead a talented team of buyers, and ensure that every product is in the right place at the right time—whether it’s in stores, online, or via our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) channels. Your leadership will directly impact key retail metrics such as sales, margin, stock turn, GMROI, and GMROM, while collaborating with global and local teams across merchandising, marketing, retail operations, planning, and e-commerce.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic buying plans that align with business goals, market trends, and consumer preferences.Conduct in-depth market research to forecast trends and customer demand, ensuring product assortments are spot-on for both seasonal and year-round success.Lead and mentor a high-performing buying team, driving results through effective team management, coaching, and development.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders locally, regionally, and globally across merchandising, marketing, and D2C teams.Optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory, markdowns, and out-of-stock situations by working closely with the planning manager.Analyze data and sales trends to forecast demand, ensuring we stay ahead of the competition.Manage budgets effectively, ensuring that purchasing decisions align with profitability goals.Spearhead collaboration with merchandising teams to ensure assortments align with brand positioning and market needs.About You:To thrive in this role, you must be a visionary with a strong eye for both the creative and the commercial.
