Nurindah Disability Services (NDS) is a small family-owned company that is located in Pakenham, a south-east suburb of Melbourne. We are currently seeking Disability Support Workers to join our team at NDS who have experience and are very passionate about working with children. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support, create and engaging with meaningful activities, and care to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings, including in-home and community.
You will be working closely with our clients and their families to provide personal care, complete household tasks, and facilitate leisure activities, ensuring that each individual's physical, emotional, and social needs are met and achieve their goals.
To be considered for this role, it is required that you have a minimum of 12 months of experience in the field, as well as a Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability or Aged Care and if possible, have a Diploma or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care.
The shifts we have are from 2 to 6 hours, evening, night, overnight stay and weekend.
Additional required qualifications, NDIS screening check (mandatory), manual handling certificate, and Working with Children check. You must also hold a First Aid and CPR Certificate and have completed the NDIS Orientation Module and infection control certificate. A valid Victorian driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle are also required.
