About the Role
JBS Northern Operations team recruiting a proactive Business Analyst to join our Riverview office in a full‐time capacity. Reporting to the Business Research and Analysis Manager, this role plays a key part in analysing performance across our processing plants and feedlots, developing operational reports and dashboards, supporting forecasting programs, and driving data informed decision making across the business.
This hands‐on role works closely with senior management, feedlot teams and operational stakeholders to deliver meaningful insights that improve productivity, livestock performance and business outcomes.
Your core responsibilities will include
* Design, build and optimise Snowflake tables, views and data models to support operational, commercial and financial reporting
* Develop high quality operational and management dashboards in Qlik Sense, ensuring strong performance and user-friendly visualisation
* Collaborate with business users to understand data needs and translate them into reliable data structures and reporting solutions
* Support the development of predictive or analytical models using Python and machine learning techniques where beneficial to business operations
* Ensure data quality, consistency and lineage across key operational and commercial datasets
* Monitor and report daily on key operational performance metrics
* Work with management to develop process and business improvement recommendations
* Support R&D initiatives and assist with the adoption of new technologies
* Provide data and insights to help the business achieve its sustainability goals
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects as required
About You
* Demonstrated experience in a similar analyst role within a large or complex business (ideally 5+ years)
* Strong knowledge and hands on experience with SQL, including building complex queries within Snowflake
* Practical experience with Python, ideally with exposure to machine learning workflows or data driven modelling
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
* Experience using data reporting tools such as Qlik Sense (or similar)
* Strong analytical capability with the ability to identify cause and effect relationships
* Strong commercial acumen and confidence in supporting data driven decisions
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive, self-starter approach with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
* High energy, passion and enthusiasm, with a demonstrated focus on system and process improvement
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Data Analytics, Agribusiness, Agricultural Science, or Business (preferred but not essential)
