Job Description
The Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting engineering teams in the preparation, configuration, and testing of control systems that meet code, contract, and schedule requirements. This role primarily focuses on control systems related to large frame industrial gas turbines in simple cycle and/or combined cycle operation with steam turbines.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and reviewing new design concepts
- Maintaining and modifying existing control systems
- Collaborating with design engineers, execution engineers, and other internal staff
- Developing procedures for testing control systems
- Configuring control systems, including HMI and database using procedures and techniques
- Performing testing and inspection of control systems, including factory acceptance tests (FATs)
- Supporting field operations in performing on-site installation of control systems

Required Skills and Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
- Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology, automation technology, or vocational training in a related field
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic elements that make up control systems
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment, including signal generators, Fluke calibration meters, digital multimeters, and oscilloscopes
- Ability to read and interpret technical prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation
- Familiarity with codes and standards, such as UL508A and NFPA 70 (NEC)
