Reporting to the Librarian, you'll support daily library operations and lead the development and delivery of community-facing programs that serve children, youth, seniors, and lifelong learners.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Maintaining library resources and systems using Libero LMSAssisting with circulation, inter-library loans, reference, and branch exchangesDelivering excellent customer service across a diverse communityDeveloping and delivering programs for children, youth, and seniorsContributing to the planning, promotion, and evaluation of community programsAssisting with grant applications, reporting, and financial administrationManaging data collection and research for library reporting and fundingSupporting Home Library Services and mobile library deliveries to remote areasParticipating in acquisitions planning and service improvement initiativesUndertaking general library duties including cataloguing, shelving, and adminQualifications and ExperienceTo read the full position description, please click hereCandidates with experience in education, community development, or other people-focused environments are encouraged to apply.To Qualify, you'll need demonstrated experience working in a library or closely related setting, along with a Certificate IV in Library and Information Services (or willingness to obtain).
You must also hold:A valid NSW Working with Children CheckA NSW Class C Driver's Licence (essential for branch delivery and outreach work)Additionally, the following skills, background and checks are highly valued:Experience with Libero Library Management SystemBackground in program design, delivery, and evaluationPrevious leadership or team coordination experienceFamiliarity with grant funding, reporting, and acquittalsAbility to work with stakeholders across all age groups and backgroundsYou'll be tech-savvy, confident using a range of digital platforms, and able to support programs, reporting, and community engagement through effective use of library technologies and software.
