Assistant Accountant - Australia and New Zealand - 12-month maternity leave cover The primary responsibility of the Assistant Accountant is to record accurate transactions in the accounting systems and assist in the month-end processes. To provide reporting and other support to the stakeholders as per needs basis. This is an excellent learning opportunity that provide an overview understanding of our business process, and to perform across different areas of financial accounting including but not limited to forecasting, budgeting, local and global end-to-end process etc. R eporting Relationship s : Reports to Financial Controller, Australia and New Zealand Direct Reports: No Location : Melbourne - flexible hybrid working Language: English In this role you can expect to People Accountabilities Embrace Teamwork within own department and across the business Develop and build strong working relationships with colleagues across the LHH business to support the achievement of company objectives. To live and promote values and mindsets of LHH business Comply with the organization's certified Management Systems including applicable responsibilities for Quality, Information Security, and Health & Safety. Financial Accountabilities Financials / Accounting, Reporting and Analysis Month end P&L, Balance Sheet reporting and analysis Key supplier reconciliations Preparing accurate sales reporting Other ad hoc duties to support the finance team and broader business Financial accountabilities are measured by reliability, accuracy and timeliness of reporting Key Stakeholders ANZ Financial Controller ANZ Finance Director GMs & Sales Directors Finance (Shared Services) Key Performance Indicators Accuracy of prepared results and reporting Adherence to reporting deadlines Management of stakeholders Adherence to Group Policies & Controls All About You A positive, self-starter attitude and desire to exceed expectations at every opportunity Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an absolute focus on quality of work Strong written and verbal communication skills Fluent in English The highest level of integrity Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualified in an accounting or business degree Part qualified CA or CPA Advanced Excel skills, proficient in Word and PowerPoint Experience in MSD or similar accounting system is preferred but not necessary Ability to work autonomously and in a team Skills and Attributes: Ability to interact with multiple financial systems across the organization Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level of attention to detail Ability to build strong relationships Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a fast-changing environment Ability to communicate financial ideas to non-financial colleagues Sound knowledge of organizational accounting procedures What we offer Growth opportunities within a human resource s global leader We prioritize learning to stay agile in an increasingly competitive business environment We foster an open-minded environment where people spark new ideas and explore alternatives Contract: 1 2 -month maternity leave cover About LHH LHH empowers professionals and organizations to achieve bold ambitions and secure lasting impact through unique advisory services and talent sources.
