News Australia is looking for a Client Partner, Direct to join our high-performing sales team. In this role, you aren't just selling ad space; you are a strategic consultant responsible for retaining and growing a high-value portfolio of clients through sophisticated media solutions.
This role can be based from any News Corp Australia office (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville, Tasmania)
The Role:
As a Client Partner, you will own the end-to-end relationship for a diverse portfolio, acting as a trusted advisor to help brands navigate the purchase funnel and reach their business objectives.
* Drive revenue by developing and implementing effective account plans and sales strategies to grow ad spend.
* Use the full power of News Corp's assets—digital, print, and audio—to provide the right solutions at the right time.
* Develop and deliver persuasive presentations that anticipate client needs and overcome objections.
* Effectively sell digital advertising solutions, leveraging data to identify new growth opportunities.
* Service incumbent agencies and build strong, long-term customer relationships centered on trust and credibility.
* Manage your sales pipeline with precision via Salesforce, ensuring 100% data integrity and adherence to business rules.
* A key priority of this role is to grow your existing client portfolio through a disciplined approach to new business acquisition, ensuring consistent revenue growth beyond the existing base.
* This is a nationally focused virtual role, where you will manage and grow your portfolio through high-impact digital engagement and virtual consultations
Who are you?
You are a resilient and determined closer who thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a face-to-face or virtual sales environment. Media or advertising experience is highly desirable.
* Proven track record of new business acquisition or business development experience.
* Proficiency in managing complex sales cycles and building deep client rapport via virtual platforms.
* You understand the purchase funnel and can link complex media products to specific client business drivers.
* You can utilize audience data to diagnose client problems and create innovative solutions.
* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate comfortably to diverse groups of people.
* You take ownership of your results, maintain a positive mindset, and are a dedicated team player.
