We are looking for an experienced Chef for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week.
Our Role:
Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
Kitchen Management: Contribute to the kitchen operations, ensuring organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training junior team members to maintain operational efficiency.
Quality Control: Monitor the taste, texture, and presentation of dishes to maintain the highest culinary standards.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control, including ordering and stock rotation.
Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders.
Creativity: Contribute to menu development and special offerings, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
Safety and Hygiene: Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.
About You
Cert III or higher with at least 2 years full-time work experience OR
At least 3 years experience in a professional kitchen in lieu of formal qualifications
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Can-do attitude and positive approach to your work.
