A little about the role

As a Youth Worker in our Complex Care residential program, you will:

* Provide direct, therapeutic care in a live-in, rostered home environment
* Support children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs and behaviours
* Respond calmly and effectively to critical incidents using trauma-informed practice
* Implement, review, and monitor individual care and therapeutic plans
* Work collaboratively with the broader care and clinical team
* Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster, including days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends

Remuneration: SCHADS Level 3, $48.31 - $51.81 /per hour inclusive of casual leave loading. This position is Casual.

About you

You're someone who brings both heart and professionalism to your work. You'll have

* Qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, or Community Services
* Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
* A strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care
* Excellent communication, emotional awareness, and de-escalation skills
* Reliability, flexibility, and strong organisational skills
* A genuine passion for making a difference, every single day

Highly regarded:

* Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
* Mental Health First Aid
* Experience in residential or OOHC environments
