About The Role
Trinity Bay State High School has 2 positions available for a reliable and capable Teacher Aide to join our Inclusive Practices faculty. These positions are offered at 30 hours per week (+12.5% SJM hours), worked across five days, commencing Term 2, 20 April 2026 through to 11 December 2026, with possibility of extension.
In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside dedicated teachers to enhance classroom experiences, assist with learning activities, and support student wellbeing. You'll be part of a team that values empathy, respect and teamwork, helping to prepare materials, supervise activities, and assist students with literacy, numeracy, mobility, personal care, communication and daily tasks.
Responsibilities Include
Assist students with learning needs in classroom and individual settings under the direction of a teacher.Provide administrative and classroom support including typing teacher notes and work programs, duplicating and photocopying materials, checking bus lists, collating examination papers, recording results, and maintaining student records.Assist in the supervision of educational activities and support implementation of learning programs.Prepare, organise, store and maintain teaching materials and equipment.Support teaching staff with playground and bus supervision as required.Demonstrate respect, empathy and inclusive practices when supporting students with high-level or diverse learning needs.Provide personal care support to students with disabilities where required, including mobility assistance, positioning, meal assistance, toileting and dressing (appropriate training required).Communicate effectively and work collaboratively as an active member of the school team.Perform other duties as directed by the Principal or supervisor, consistent with the classification level of the role.
