Sales Leader - Mid-Market Business Development
This role is focused on driving net new customer acquisition across the mid-market segment in Victoria. The successful candidate will be a key sales leader responsible for prospecting high-value customers, coaching Partners, and translating business requirements into strategic solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prospect high-value customers and build strong relationships with them.
* Capture and manage accurate data on prospects, partners, and existing customers using CRM tools.
* Translate business requirements into tailored solutions that meet the needs of mid-market businesses.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to lead the full sales lifecycle, from initial engagement through to commercial close.
* Coach Partners on how to position Optus' value proposition and execute territory sales plans effectively.
* Maintain CRM accuracy and report pipeline health regularly.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of B2B sales or business development experience selling complex ICT and telecommunications solutions.
* Previous success in mid-market sales (20–499 FTE), with a deep understanding of customer buying behaviors and pain points.
* Strong experience in channel Partner co-selling, including enablement, account planning, and opportunity management.
* Technical understanding of ICT products and ability to engage pre-sales teams effectively.
* Skilled in solution selling, pipeline development, CRM forecasting, and commercial negotiation.
* Proficient in Salesforce, uCRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and digital prospecting tools.
