East Arnhem Regional Health Service is seeking an experienced and proactive Emergency Management and Work Health and Safety Coordinator to join the team.
In this role, you will lead the coordination and continuous improvement of EM and WHS systems across the region, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will work closely with managers and staff to provide expert advice, support safe work practices, and strengthen organisational capability in emergency preparedness and response.
You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining emergency and business continuity plans, delivering training programs, and supporting coordination during emergency events. This includes maintaining situational awareness, supporting communication, and contributing to effective inter‐agency responses when required.
About You
You are a highly capable and motivated professional with strong experience in Emergency Management and Work Health and Safety. You thrive in a dynamic environment, can work autonomously, and are confident providing expert advice and guidance across a diverse organisation.
You bring:
* Demonstrated experience coordinating Emergency Management and/or WHS systems at a senior level
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse teams and communities
* Experience developing and reviewing plans, policies and procedures to a high standard
* Proven ability to deliver training in Emergency Management, WHS or Business Continuity
* Strong problem‐solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement practical solutions
* The ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and influence positive safety outcomes
* Flexibility, initiative and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational environments
