About the role
Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team, with two Clinical Facilitator positions available. These permanent part-time roles (16 hours per week each) will play a key role in supporting clinical education across their respective areas.
Commencing immediately, we are recruiting for:
* Clinical Facilitator – Wards (Medical and Surgical Wards)
* Clinical Facilitator – Perioperative Department
Please note: If we identify an exceptional all‑rounder capable of supporting both the wards and perioperative departments, we may consider appointing a single Clinical Facilitator working 0.8 FTE, rather than recruiting two separate part-time positions.
As a Clinical Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clinical learning within the hospital environment. You will assist clinical staff in developing the knowledge, skills, and attributes required for contemporary practice in acute care and perioperative settings. Acting as a professional role model, you will foster positive relationships with healthcare teams and agencies to enhance the learning experience and uphold our mission and values.
Mater Bundaberg is a 59-bed facility comprising both surgical and medical/rehabilitation units. Our Surgical Ward manages a diverse range of cases including orthopaedics, gynaecology, general surgery, and ENT procedures. Our Medical/Rehabilitation Ward supports patients across the acute and sub-acute spectrum, providing comprehensive care tailored to individual recovery needs.
Our Perioperative Department features three operating theatres and one procedure room, where we perform over 4,400 procedures annually. We specialise in a wide range of surgical services including ENT, paediatrics, gynaecology, general surgery, orthopaedics, reconstructive plastics, urology, ophthalmology, respiratory procedures, and more. We are proud of our team, known for delivering the highest standards of patient care and providing exceptional clinical support to our surgeons and anaesthetists.
Salary range: $ $58.30 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits
