About the role
Lead with purpose in the Wheatbelt, delivering coordinated, recovery-focused care.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Mental Health Clinician (RN) to provide advanced clinical nursing care and leadership within our Clinical Care Coordination stream.
This role focuses on supporting individuals living with severe but stable mental health conditions, ensuring they receive person-centred, recovery-oriented, and evidence-based care.
Working collaboratively with clients, families, and service providers, you'll deliver high-quality case coordination that strengthens continuity of care and connection across health and social support networks.
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician based in Northam, supporting our Wheatbelt Team your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering evidence-based, person-centred, and recovery-oriented care coordination to our clients
Undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments, triaging, and completing risk assessments.
The development and implementation, and review of collaborative care and recovery plans with clients and carers.
Providing clinical case management, crisis intervention, and therapeutic interventions as required.
Offering clinical guidance, mentoring, and professional supervision to team members delivering coordinated care.
Contributing to service development, health promotion, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Ensuring the completion of accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with legislation, standards, and Amity Health policies.
This is a part-time position 3 full days per week (or ***** hours per fortnight) located in Northam.

Experience and qualifications required
You're an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in mental health and a passion for providing quality healthcare for regional clients.
You will bring both clinical expertise and coordinated, recovery-based care experience.
You are a seasoned clinician with demonstrated leadership capability and experience.
Essential: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, with post-graduate qualifications (or working towards) in Mental Health Nursing or related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing, ideally with a focus on care coordination.
Skilled in assessment, care planning, case management, and crisis intervention.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
Sound knowledge of recovery-oriented practice and relevant mental health legislation.
Current WA driver's licence and willingness to travel for outreach work.
Desirable: Experience providing clinical supervision, mentoring, or capability building.
Familiarity with local community, health, and social service networks.
