**Salary Range**: $93,976 - $106,713 + Attractive Superannuation
As a member of the Library's small client focused team it is expected under limited direction that the Information Services Librarian perform a range of tasks consistent with the APS Level 6 work standard and operational requirements.
Duties
Provide reference and research, document delivery, current awareness and training in searching of information resources
Assist in technical services operations including collection development, cataloguing, and collection maintenance
Assist with desktop information delivery and maintenance of online information resources and systems
Provide professional advice and exercise judgement in investigation and evaluation of new information products and technology
Contribute to development and implementation of policies and procedures for improved service delivery with a focus on continuous improvement
Undertake general administrative tasks and projects as required
Participate in professional networks and meetings.
Eligibility
Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
All applicants external to DVA offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a pre-engagement screening check, even if they have a security clearance. The screening check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.
Recognised tertiary qualifications in library and information science (or equivalent) and eligibility for Association Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
