FCAW Welders - 12hr Shifts - Henderson Workshop
Location: Henderson WA (Local roles only - no FIFO)
Employment Type: Casual role with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment for the right candidate.
Category 5 and Orontide are partnering to build a strong pipeline of experienced FCAW Welders for ongoing shutdowns and long-term project work in Henderson WA.
This is your opportunity to secure consistent, local work while contributing to major Defence, Marine, Mining, and Oil & Gas projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete multi-run butt and fillet welds using FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) techniques
* Pass a 20mm 4G plate test and single/multi-pass 1F plate test
* Work safely in confined/tight spaces
* Adhere to all WHS standards and company procedures
* Provide your own Adflo helmet and welding tools
Skills & Qualifications:
* Trade-qualified welder (FCAW/Flux Core)
* Experienced with 1.2mm metal-cored wire
* Confident in multi-pass welding on structural steel/plate
* Ability to work in tight/confined spaces
* Current White Card and other relevant tickets (Confined Space, Working at Heights)
* Reliable and available for 12-hour shifts, day and night
Mandatory Pre-Employment Requirements:
* Ability to complete online and onsite inductions
* Two recent work references
* Photo ID / Driver's Licence
* Police Clearance (within 3 months) or be willing to obtain
* Pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screen
Pay & Conditions:
* $65/hr flat rate (Normal time)
* $78/hr (Overtime - after 8 hours)
* 12-hour day/night shifts
* Contract duration: approximately 2 months
* Potential for ongoing work based on performance
