About Early Learning Victoria

The Victorian Government is establishing 50 government-owned and operated early learning centres by 2032 as part of the Best Start, Best Life reforms. The centres offer childcare, Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep. The centres provide high-quality, accessible and inclusive early childhood education and care that is child centred, focused on learning through play and in nature, with strong connections to local communities.

Early Learning Victoria is part of the Victorian Department of Education. The ELV central team is leading the roll-out of the 50 centres and supports and oversees 4 centres that have recently opened. About the Role

You will lead data analysis with a focus on policy implications and generating system intelligence and insights. You will oversee budget analysis and maintainof modelling tools essential for generating system intelligence and actionable insights.

You will understand different policy options implications and use quantitative data to provide business insights. You will offer strategic budgetary advice to grow and develop the Early Learning Victoria program.

Your duties will include:

- Analysing data and report insights on performance indicators like enrolments, attendance, recruitment, staffing, and budget

- Lead analytical projects providing expert advice on Early Learning Victoria performance and corporate reporting

- Provide leadership and authoritative advice to senior executives on performance measurement and data matters

- Oversee systems and tools, ensuring they are maintained and aligned with organisational processes, including modern data visualization techniques

- Respond to stakeholder feedback, adapting recommendations as needed according to policy requirements

- Manage and develop staff

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, accounting, or economics

- Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to communicate analysis effectively to senior managers for decision-making

- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills across various stakeholder groups

- Achievement in leading projects with constructive stakeholder engagement and collaborative teamwork

- Demonstrated initiative and judgement in identifying em erging issues and delivering solutions

- Desirable: Experience in working for Government owned and operated Early Learning Services
