Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 2 Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Department
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
Seymour Health is a leading integrated small rural health service. It is a 25-bed public facility which provides public and private acute medical and surgical, renal dialysis and day procedure along with post-acute care, palliative care, district nursing, sub-acute ambulatory services and a broad range of community and home-based services.
About the Role:
The Grade 2 Pharmacy Technician - Seymour Health has responsibility for participation in the pharmacy service at Seymour Health. They will assist pharmacists in those aspects of the dispensing process that do not require the exercise of professional judgement and take part in medication distribution activities. They will work collaboratively to achieve the strategic outcome of the Pharmacy Department and may be requested to be involved in the recording of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other required statistics.
The role will require staff to be flexible with their working hours to meet the changing operations demands and can include working after hours and on public holidays.
Compliance with mandatory training as per NH Policy is a requirement of this role. Failure to complete this training within required timeframes may result in a suspension of duties until training is completed.
This is a fixed term part time (16 hours per fortnight) position until May 2027 with opportunity for extension.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience and good working knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice
* Proven ability to work as a part of a team
* Demonstrated abilities to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Well-developed communication skills
