Job Summary
PIMS Group is actively recruiting a Carpenter, Painter and Maintenance Plumber for our Township Maintenance Services team in Tieri, Central Queensland.
Carpenter – Responsibilities
Based in Tieri, you will maintain residential and commercial facilities within the township, delivering quality carpentry solutions focused on safety and compliance.
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on buildings and structures.
* Complete framing, formwork, decking and cladding to a high standard.
* Ensure all work complies with Australian Building Codes and Industry Standards.
* Maintain a safe, clean and compliant work environment.
Carpenter – Qualifications
* Australian recognised trade qualification (Certificate III in Carpentry).
* General Safety Induction (Construction Industry White Card).
* Valid Manual Driver's Licence.
* Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding (CPCCLSF2001A) – desirable.
* Work Safely at Height (RIIWHS204D) – desirable.
* Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience (residential, commercial or industrial).
* Strong problem‐solving, attention to detail and excellent communication.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Understanding of WHS standards and safe work methods.
* Full Australian working rights or permanent residency.
Carpenter – Progression
After 18 to 24 months of excellent service, tradespersons may transition to a Glencore mine site position.
Painter – Responsibilities
Support the Township Maintenance Services team with painting and decorating projects.
* Prepare surfaces (clean, sand, fill, prime) for a flawless finish.
* Apply paints, stains, varnishes and finishes to walls, ceilings and exteriors.
* Operate painting tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, spray guns and sanding machines.
* Follow workplace health and safety standards and practices.
Painter – Qualifications
* Australian recognised trade qualification in Painting and Decorating (Certificate III or equivalent).
* Proven experience on residential, commercial or industrial projects.
* Proficiency with painting tools and equipment.
* Current White Card and valid manual driver's licence.
* Strong problem‐solving skills, attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work on deadline.
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, independent and team working ability.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, team and supervisors.
* Willingness to adapt to new techniques and tools, committed to ongoing learning.
Plumber – Responsibilities
* Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues (leaks, blockages, fixture installations).
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections and system checks.
* Gas fitting and repairs where qualified.
* Ensure compliance with Australian Plumbing Standards.
* Maintain a safe, clean and compliant work environment.
* Adhere to the 9‐day fortnight roster schedule.
Plumber – Qualifications
* Australian recognised trade qualification (Certificate III in Plumbing).
* Occupational Plumber and Drainage Licence (QLD).
* General Safety Induction (Construction Industry White Card).
* Valid Manual Driver's Licence.
* Gas Work Licence Type A (QLD) – desirable.
* Work Safely at Height (RIIWHS204D) – desirable.
* Commission and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices Certificate (CPCPWT4022A) – desirable.
* Minimum 2 years of plumbing experience (residential, commercial or industrial).
* Maintenance plumbing and roofing experience – essential.
* Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and strong customer focus.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Strong understanding of WHS standards and safe work methods.
* Full Australian working rights or permanent residency.

Company vehicle will be provided.
Location and Accommodation
Applicants are encouraged to relocate to Tieri, 1 hour north‐east of Emerald. Accommodation options include camp accommodation, shared housing or tenancy of houses with subsidised rent.
