AIC Mines owns and operates the Eloise Copper Mine near Cloncurry, Queensland. Eloise is an underground operation utilising conventional crush–grind–float processing to produce a high-quality copper-gold concentrate. AIC Mines has commenced works at the Jericho project, supporting the continued expansion of the Eloise operation. The Company also maintains a portfolio of copper and gold exploration projects throughout Australia.

About the role:
The Camp Maintenance Officer is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation and maintenance of camp infrastructure, including potable water and sewage treatment systems, buildings, grounds, and utilities. This role also includes operating equipment such as cranes (as required) and providing backup support to the processing plant during maintenance and shutdown activities.
General Camp Maintenance
* Perform basic plumbing repairs (taps, toilets, showers, leaks).
* Conduct water heater and reticulation system checks.
* Undertake building maintenance including door repairs, painting, pressure washing, and pest control checks.
* Identify minor electrical issues and raise maintenance tickets for resolution.
* Maintain camp cleanliness, lighting, signage, and conduct minor fencing repairs.
Groundskeeping
* Maintain lawns, gardens, and common areas through mowing, whipper snipping, watering, and fertilising.
* Ensure camp surrounds are safe, clean, and visually presentable.
Water Treatment (RO and Potable Water Systems)
* Operate, monitor, and maintain reverse osmosis (RO) and potable water treatment systems.
* Conduct regular inspections of membrane filtration, dosing systems, and pre-treatment processes.
* Maintain raw and potable water storage tanks and infrastructure.
* Carry out basic field water quality testing and maintain accurate logs.
Sewage Treatment
* Operate and maintain sewage treatment plant (SBR or aerated systems).
* Monitor pump stations, screen filters, and perform effluent sampling and testing.
* Record results and assist in identifying and resolving minor faults.
* Transport and Logistics
* Refuel generators, transport camp bins, and perform minor vehicle checks.
* Assist with unloading deliveries and relocating furniture or supplies around camp.
Crane Operation
* Operate a site crane safely and competently, as required, in accordance with site procedures and licence requirements.
* Support maintenance, equipment movements, or structural tasks requiring lifting assistance.
Processing Plant Support
* Provide backup support to the processing plant team during planned shutdowns, maintenance activities, or unplanned events.
* Assist with basic maintenance tasks, labouring duties, equipment handling, and safe work practices in processing areas.
The position is offered on 8 days on 6 days off, or 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, FIFO from Townsville or DIDO from Cloncurry / Mount Isa. Accommodation is provided onsite at Eloise.
About You:
Key requirements for an experienced Camp Maintenance Officer are:
* 1–3 years’ experience in a similar camp or remote maintenance role.
* Certificate III or IV in Water Industry Operations (NWP).
* Knowledge of RO water treatment systems and potable water standards.
* Familiarity with sewage treatment systems, testing, and fault identification.
* Experience in general plumbing and building maintenance.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and electrical awareness (non-licensed).
* Experience operating cranes or similar lifting equipment (high-risk licence required).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
* Strong safety focus and commitment to site environmental and hygiene standards.
* High-Risk Work Licence (Crane – CN or higher).
* Water Treatment Certification or Environmental Monitoring qualifications.
* First Aid / CPR and Confined Space Entry (or willingness to obtain).
* MR/HR driver’s licence.
