Gateway Automotive is a well-established and customer-focused dealership, committed to delivering outstanding service experiences. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Service Manager to support our Service Department and help drive operational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, this hands-on role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their automotive career. You will assist with the day-to-day management of the service department, support the service advisors and technicians, and ensure customers receive exceptional service from booking through to vehicle delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Service Manager in daily operations of the service department
* Assist with workflow management, job allocation, and productivity targets
* Provide leadership and support to service advisors and technicians
* Handle customer enquiries, escalations, and complaint resolution professionally
* Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and CSI performance
* Assist with warranty processes, invoicing accuracy, and quality control
* Maintain dealership, manufacturer, and WHS compliance standards
About You
* Previous experience in a dealership service environment (Assistant Service Manager, Senior Service Advisor, or similar)
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
* Sound knowledge of dealership systems and processes
* A current driver's licence
