Career Medical Officer - Intensive Care Unit - Temp FT x 5
Join the South Western Sydney Local Health District as a Career Medical Officer in the Intensive Care Unit.
The Career Medical Officer will provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under their care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CEO on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality experienced clinical service to the Intensive Care Department.
* Assist in the provision of the Intensive Care service at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals through medical management, clinical direction to and collaboration with other ICU and facility staff.
* Develop the skills and knowledge needed to operate independently as an Intensive Care Department medical practitioner.
Requirements:
* MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience.
* Proficiency in airway management, advanced resuscitation skills, and in central venous and arterial line insertion.
* Previous experience in the Intensive Care Department and a wide range of medical experience.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including relevant computer skills.
