The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Clinic Manager to lead the operations of a busy and well-established Medical Clinic.
The role is responsible for managing day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of culturally safe, high-quality, and client-focused healthcare services, while leading a multidisciplinary team of GPs, nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and administrative staff.
You'll play a key leadership role driving service excellence, compliance, and team development in a community setting that values collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the medical clinic, including staff rostering, scheduling, and after-hours coordination
* Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical and administrative staff
* Ensure culturally safe and inclusive healthcare practices
* Lead accreditation processes in line with regulatory standards
* Strengthen partnerships with key health and community stakeholders
* Manage clinic budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation
* Support workforce development through recruitment, supervision, and training
* Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives
* Ensure compliance with AHPRA, Medicare, and relevant funding agreements
* Monitor clinical outcomes and service performance indicators
About You
You are an experienced leader in healthcare management with a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and a passion for community-driven service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualifications in Leadership and Management or Practice Management (Cert IV or Diploma)
* Background as a Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional, or Aboriginal Health Practitioner
* Proven experience managing clinical operations in a health or community setting
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and the factors influencing community health
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Experience with accreditation and compliance processes (RACGP preferred)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
