About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Advisor – Quality and Compliance to lead the continuous improvement and implementation of quality and compliance systems, policies, and processes across the organisation. This role plays a key part in ensuring all frameworks remain contemporary, fit for purpose, and aligned with business goals Acting as a trusted advisor, the Senior Advisor will collaborate closely with senior leaders, operational teams, and stakeholders to embed a culture of quality, risk awareness, and compliance excellence throughout the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and continuous improvement of quality systems and internal controls across the Port Plan and coordinate ISO 9001 Quality Audits and ensure timely completion of related follow-up actions Identify and resolve deficiencies in policies and procedures, supporting the creation and enhancement of associated documentation Engage with internal teams and external port users to resolve process non-conformance and improve operational performance Maintain and manage the end-to-end operating model, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities Facilitate structured problem-solving initiatives for significant quality-related issues. Support the delivery and enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and systems Champion and promote ERM policies and procedures throughout the organisation. Lead the implementation and execution of a controls compliance program, including facilitating ‘Line 2’ reviews Maintain the register of Significant Legislative Obligations and integrate compliance into operational processes Develop reports, dashboards, and documentation for the Board, Audit and Risk Committee, and Executive Leadership Team Build effective relationships across the business to foster a strong culture of quality, compliance, and risk management About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Risk Management or a related discipline Over 10 years’ experience in developing and implementing quality and compliance frameworks A strong understanding of quality and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 19600:2015) Demonstrated ability to lead strategic quality initiatives in complex operational environments High-level organisational, planning, influencing, and problem-solving capabilities Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset, with the ability to align quality and risk initiatives to business objectives Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience consulting across all organisational level Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports and communicate insights to senior stakeholders A keen attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach Desirable Criteria Previous experience within the maritime industry, preferably in a Port environment Familiarity with control compliance frameworks, CGR Foundation application, and LexisNexis platform At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
