Based in Laverton North at our Pipe Road chemical manufacturing facility, we're looking for an E&I Trades Person to provide electrical and instrumentation maintenance services for onsite equipment as part of our Engineering Team. The role ensures ongoing reliability and maintenance of the plant while we upgrade and support long-term viability.

Shift patterns: rotating morning and afternoon shifts (6:00am-11:30pm) with a 4th week having an RDO (4-day week).

Responsibilities

* Maintain records as required including printing Work Orders, assigning parts, recording history, raising supplementary work orders, closing out workorders in MEX
* Maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment including but not limited to: switch gear, substation equipment, motor circuit protectors, motor control centres, digital display equipment, lighting circuits, safety systems and devices., level transmitters, pressure transmitters, flow meters etc.
* Assist in planning and scoping future work as requested and included in daily schedule
* Keep in communication with store room personnel to update on gaps, low inventories and all aspects relating to spare parts and replacement inventory
* Perform predictive, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance on all equipment and perform tests to identify problems, maintain systems and calibrate equipment within the plant.
* Perform duties and work assigned on daily schedule to a high standard in 5S, safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Ensuring root cause of the problems are addressed
* Ensure that required work has appropriate Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Management of Change (MOC) done before performing tasks related to it
* Participate in and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement among colleagues by encouraging suggestions, ideas and use of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to improve equipment reliability, availability, maintainability and Safety


Qualifications & Experience

You will have qualifications within electrical technology instrumentation & control, experience ideally within a chemical manufacturing environment or similar high hazard. You also bring previous experience within HV systems and exposure working at heights in a high hazard environment with the required licences.

You should have an A-grade Electrician license.
