We are a well-established, private Obstetrics & Gynaecology practice in Wollongong looking for a cheerful and experienced professional to join our team.
We require a compassionate qualified with a minimum of 2 years' experience in medical reception. This is a part-time position, 3 days a week plus cover for sick and annual leave, with flexible hours and the potential opportunity of full-time for the right candidate.
You will be required to complete a range of reception and general administration duties as part of a small team, in a fast-paced practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and assisting patients
- Scheduling of patient appointments
- Responding to email enquiries
- Incoming & outgoing calls
- Invoicing, payments and reconciliations
- Providing excellent customer service to our patients
- Maintaining files with accuracy
- Ordering and maintaining stock
- Confidential data entry

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Ability to cope under pressure
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment
- Efficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Word and web-based programs
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
Favourable criteria:
- Experience in billing and liaising with Medicare, health insurers and health care providers
- Previous experience with Gentu or similar web-based practice software
- Clinical knowledge or background in women's health
