Help Shape the future workforce of Tweed Shire Council.

Tweed Shire Council is seeking a motivated and people-focused TSC Academy Coordinator to lead the coordination and continuous improvement of our early career programs, including cadets, apprentices, trainees and work experience placements.

About the role:
* Coordinate the full program lifecycle, from funding submissions and recruitment through to onboarding, rotations, training contracts and ongoing support
* Work closely with leaders, participants and external partners to ensure each placement is meaningful, well supported and aligned with Council’s long‑term workforce needs
* Maintain accurate program records, including training plans, qualifications and contract milestones
* Monitor and report on key program metrics such as participation, diversity, completion and retention

* a base salary ranging from $40.81 per hour with competency-based increments up to $47.92 per hour, plus 12% super
* a maximum-term contract up to 24 months, with the possibility of extension or permanency subject to performance, funding and operational need

We are seeking:
* A proactive, organised and people focused mindset, with a passion for supporting individuals at the start of their careers
* Experience coordinating early‑career, VET or similar training programs
* Strong administrative, organisational and planning skills
* Experience navigating funding programs, training contracts and compliance requirements
* A commitment to continuous improvement and building policies and frameworks to support the TSC Academy Program into the future

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
