The Education Directorate is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Director, People Cases to work within a specialist team in the People and Performance Branch. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic oversight and expert advice on misconduct and reportable conduct matters, helping to shape a culture of integrity and accountability across the ACT public education system.
We're looking for professionals with:
* Extensive experience managing complex and sensitive employee relations matters within the ACTPS and/or a highly regulated environment.
* High-level written and interpersonal communication skills
* Proven ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy, and enterprise agreements relevant to employee relations and other people related matters.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional memberships in human resources would be an advantage, including AHRI Professional Accreditation or a Practising Certificate.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months until 24 December 2026 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
