In this role you will:
· Design and manage social science research using relevant methods to examine consumer behaviour, attitudes and knowledge in relation to food (e.g. experiments, surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups). This may include analysing quantitative and/or qualitative data to produce high quality reports.
· Critically review and communicate the findings of original research and published literature, and their implications for food regulation.
· Support the management of procurement processes in line with relevant guidelines to obtain high quality consumer research and/or data.
· Work as a member of multi-disciplinary project teams on the development or variation of food standards.
· Engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes, including other government agencies, the food industry, health professionals, consumers, the FSANZ Board and domestic and international social science experts.
· Contribute to section administration and a strong team culture.
