About the Role
Reporting directly to the COO & Directors, the General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations across production, workforce management, procurement, compliance, and business systems. You will play a critical role in streamlining processes, improving efficiencies, supporting leadership teams, and helping shape the future growth of the business.
This role requires a strong operational leader who can balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
* Oversee and improve production workflows and build sequencing
* Manage engineering support functions and technical coordination
* Drive efficiencies across CNC operations and manufacturing departments
* Lead procurement cost‐saving initiatives and supplier optimisation
* Provide shop floor support and operational escalation management
* Oversee apprenticeship programs and workforce development
HR & People Management
* Manage performance processes including documentation, warnings, and terminations
* Lead conflict resolution and employee relations matters
* Coordinate recruitment including advertising, interviews, trial days, and onboarding
* Oversee employee setup and administration across MYOB and workforce systems
* Manage WorkCover claims and related administration
* Support training and development across administration and operational teams
Business Improvement & Compliance
* Lead implementation and automation of operational systems and processes
* Support rollout and coordination of new business divisions and initiatives
* Manage procurement forecasting and supplier planning
* Conduct wage benchmarking and remuneration reviews
* Ensure compliance across WHS, HR, ROVER and RAV obligations
* Oversee financial processing including ABA files, PAYG and related administration
* Prepare and present monthly operational reporting
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, automotive, RV, or production environments
* Strong operational and people management capability
* Experience driving process improvement and business efficiencies
* Sound understanding of HR processes, WHS compliance, and workforce management
* Strong commercial acumen and supplier management skills
* Excellent communication, problem‐solving, and organisational skills
* Ability to lead teams while remaining hands‐on when required
