Senior Claims Advisor, Liability Claims - 12 month contract
As a Senior Claims Advisor – Liability Claims, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and shaping outcomes across complex liability matters within our GI Complex Claims team. This 12-month contract exists to provide deep technical expertise, leadership, and trusted guidance on high‐risk and high‐value claims, ensuring fair, timely, and commercially sound outcomes for our customers and partners.
You'll act as a senior technical referral point, influencing claims strategy, lifting capability across the team, and strengthening relationships with brokers, legal partners, and internal stakeholders. Your impact will be felt through quality decisions, strong governance, and a culture that puts customers first while supporting Zurich's broader transformation journey.
You will also be responsible for the following:
* Managing a portfolio of complex liability claims from notification through to resolution, including coverage analysis and litigation oversight
* Acting as a senior technical referral point within the Liability Claims team
* Providing oversight and direction on large and complex liability losses in line with global frameworks
* Engaging and managing legal and external service providers to drive strong outcomes
* Ensuring claims decisions and processes align with Zurich governance, risk, and quality standards
* Supporting continuous improvement through coaching, quality assurance, and knowledge sharing
In order to be successful, you will have the following:
* Proven experience managing liability claims within general insurance, including complex or litigated matters
* Strong technical capability in liability coverage and claims decision‐making
* Experience working with legal providers and managing litigation strategies
* Confidence acting as a subject matter expert and technical referral point
* Ability to coach, mentor, and uplift capability within a claims team
* Strong understanding of governance, risk, and regulatory obligations in insurance
