About the Role :
We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Asset / Reliability Engineer to join our Meandu team, reporting to the Engineering & Planning Superintendent. You will be responsible for providing technical support in the ongoing improvement of fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and further interrogate daily, weekly, monthly reports and KPI’s to identify common faults and trends to apply problem-solving and root cause analysis, with a continual improvement focus.
Implement reliability and condition monitoring methodologies to achieve reliability excellence for mobile assets.
Identify any maintenance projects that will be beneficial to both asset health and reliability, and justify through suitable cost / benefit analysis.
Review equipment failure modes and utilise engineering expertise to develop practical maintenance strategies to mitigate the consequence of equipment failures.
Use life cycle costing to support financial decision-making including end-of-life repair vs replace decisions or selection of new assets.
Mentor and develop graduate engineers and tradespeople in equipment condition monitoring and reliability techniques, with a strong focus on improving inspection and work quality.

About You :
As an Asset Engineer, your role at BUMA will be built upon four main pillars :

As such, the ideal candidate would have a combination of the following :
Tertiary qualifications in Maintenance Engineering stream (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics etc), or a Maintenance trades background.
Demonstrated experience in maintenance-related roles. Experience with mobile assets is necessary.
Maintenance planning experience or on-site mining experience in an operational maintenance role is desirable.
Asset health and condition-based maintenance experience.
Analytical capability, with knowledge of fundamental reliability analysis techniques including RCA, FMEA, and Predictive Maintenance tools.
Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP (preferable), Power BI dashboards development, and project management tools.
Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour.
