We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations and conveyance pipelines. This will include reviewing design requirements, conducting site investigations, performing calculations and modeling, overseeing drafting and preparing reports and specifications.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering
* Minimum 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
* Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
* Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks
* Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects
* Commitment to working safely, and within the company's HSEQ systems
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences
* Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires
