As a
Controls Assurance Manager
you'll make an impact by evaluating, testing and enhancing the bank's internal control environment that supports regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and operational effectiveness.
This involves engaging, building rapport with control and risk owners, helping them understand findings and supporting them in planning next steps.
End to end practice promoting a culture of continuous improvement and enhanced risk awareness, ensuring the first line owns their controls.

* Control Design effectiveness
Position description:
Controls Assurance Manager Position
These are permanent positions. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum three days per week based out of our Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo, or Sydney corporate office.
What you'll bring to the role
To succeed in this role, we'd love you to have:
* Proven experience in control design, risk assessment and control testing, preferably within the financial services sector.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business processes and regulatory guidance.
* Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships at all levels of an organisation.
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Information Systems or related discipline with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
* Relevant certifications such as CAP, CIA, CISA or CRISC certification are highly valued.
