The Hospital Nurse Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the safe management of Box Hill Hospital across 24 hours. This position requires strong nursing leadership skills, including exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
As an experienced senior nurse with relevant experience in managing various issues, such as staffing, codes, and safety, you will be responsible for fulfilling the role of emergency controller for all emergency codes. Your lateral thinking skills will enable you to ensure best outcomes for patients and the organization.

About You

* Current Registration: Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Postgraduate Qualifications: Possess postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical area or Health Care Management.
* Leadership Experience: Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience.
* Commitment to Quality Care: Show a strong commitment to high-quality care.
* Teamwork and Autonomy: Ability to work both within a multi-disciplinary team and as an autonomous practitioner when required.
* Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Recent Experience: Recent experience in a similar role or managerial experience at a senior nursing level within an Acute Hospital setting.
* Multitasking and Resource Management: Well-developed organizational skills and ability to multitask while effectively managing staffing resources within budget.
* Community Focus: Ability to align services and resources to meet the changing needs of our communities.
* Crisis Management: Proven record of managing difficult and at times challenging situations.
* Roster Flexibility: The flexibility to work a 7-day rotational roster.
