TM1/IBM Planning Analytics is heavily used by our Commercial Planning team for all sales, stock, and intake forecasting. As a TM1 Specialist at THE ICONIC, you’ll be working as part of this team, providing critical ongoing day-to-day support for common tasks, as well as bringing extensive tool knowledge and best practices.
Supported by an internal team of TM1 Super Users, as well as Product and external Engineering resource, you will be the TM1 ‘go-to’ person for all queries and tool development requirements, promptly troubleshooting issues as they arise, and owning all training and tool documentation.
You will liaise with internal Product teams and external Engineering teams to brief in new tool requirements, ensuring that work completed is fit for purpose, and the team has been sufficiently trained on the new features.
What you’ll do
1. Support the immediate Commercial Planning team with day-to-day troubleshooting queries, following due process to ensure swift issue resolution
2. Work with stakeholders, internal product teams and external engineering teams on tool enhancement requirements, overseeing UAT and training as required
3. Provide feedback on tool use and set-up to ensure conformity to TM1 best practices
4. Champion internal processes regarding issue resolution and support
5. Work closely with Product and external Engineering teams to ensure deployments and solutions are fit for purpose, and follow THE ICONIC standards
6. Review automation capabilities and provide recommendations on how the tool can be more efficiently used
7. Keep all documentation and training material up to date, and ensure new user onboarding is conducted on a regular basis
8. Perform all TM1 administration tasks as requested by the team, including licence rotation, access requests and config changes
9. Identify process improvement opportunities to drive innovation
What we are looking for
10. 3+ years experience in a similar TM1 role
11. Experience in the building and administration of TM1 models, cubes, views, dimensions, complex rules and processes
12. Ability to own and run complex TM1 processes and procedures, such as terminal processes, hierarchy changes, copy scenarios and re-mapping of data
13. Experience working in a support capacity, confident in ability to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and manage support incidents, whilst following process
14. Ownership of UAT testing in the development environment, and all training and associated documentation required for production release
15. Relevant corporate finance experience exhibiting knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting functions and related processes
16. Confident in working with business stakeholders
17. Strong verbal and written communication skills that will allow you to express complex TM1 concepts in a simple non-technical manner
18. Experience with Agile methodologies

19. Retail commercial knowledge in planning and forecasting (highly desirable)
20. Advanced knowledge and expertise with SQL, OLAP, and data warehousing concepts
21. Relevant Cognos and/or Python experience for data pipeline build and maintenance to and from TM1
22. Experience in working with large and complex datasets
