Parts and Inventory Specialist
A permanent, full-time opportunity exists within our team for a Parts and Inventory Specialist to assist with ordering and collecting parts for the servicing and repairs of our company fleet.
About the Role
* This position requires previous experience with heavy vehicle parts and proficient computer skills.
* The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday 7am-5pm + Half Day Saturday.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in manual tasks as part of a collaborative team effort.
2. Utilize computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, for various tasks.
3. Handle a mid-to-high volume of phone calls with internal staff and suppliers.
4. Maintain and organize the internal parts/store, including stock control and inventory management.
5. Order and collect parts and consumables for servicing and repairs of the company fleet.
6. Update and perform data entry for internal company documentation, such as Fleet Service spreadsheet and job card spreadsheet.
7. Manage bulk diesel for company use, including monitoring usage, obtaining quotes, and organizing delivery.
Requirements
* Fantastic organizational skills.
* Knowledge of machinery-related parts.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Past experience within a diesel workshop or similar environment.
* Experience communicating and negotiating with suppliers.
* Competence with Microsoft Excel and general computer programs.
