Bentley Park College are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Principal (Special Education) to run our Special Education Program along with an amazing team spanning from Prep through to Year 12.

This is a temporary full-time position until 25 May 2027 unless otherwise determined.

Bentley Park College is a state school in Southern Cairns, Far North Queensland, offering a complete Prep to Year 12 education for all children in the family.

About The Role

As the Deputy Principal (Special Education), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


* Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the special education program (SEP) to develop and commit to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Deputise for the Principal when required.
* Promote socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
* Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, community groups.
* Be future-oriented and strategic.
* Understand policies and legislation affecting the department.
* Manage SEP resources to achieve goals.
