Job Summary
We are seeking a mental health professional to join our multidisciplinary team in a health centre setting. As a psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to military members with diverse mental health needs.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will have the autonomy to manage your caseload, including oversight and case management of externally referred cases and the provision of internal treatment to Defence members.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive mental health assessment and deliver evidence-based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
* Manage crisis presentations, risk assessment, and risk management planning within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to military members.
Requirements
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting.
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Working Arrangements
This is a part-time position working across Wagga & Kapooka. Standard hours of operation are generally 0700-1600 Monday to Friday.
