Salary range: $132,705 - $141,974 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

Work that matters
This role will lead the Counselling team to deliver outstanding service and continuous improvement, by fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture and ongoing professional development. It will develop and implement a Counselling Action Plan to meet university and Student Success strategic objectives, targets, and direction, and provide strategic advice to the leadership team on the provision of counselling services and contribute to decision-making and strategic planning.
The team
Reporting to the Director, Student Wellbeing and Safety, this role will oversee a clinical support team, making decisions on prioritising, scheduling, local resource allocation, and immediate process improvements; and provide initial feedback that informs tactical planning. This role forms part of the Student Wellbeing and Safety team within the Student Experience and Success Function and is aligned to the Student Experience and Success Portfolio within the University, and will provide role guidance, professional development, direction and coaching for between direct reports.

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
Postgraduate qualification and relevant experience
Significant experience leading and managing a team in a brief intervention counselling or clinical services environment
Extensive experience in case management and clinical supervision, delivering services to diverse groups
Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic and operational plans.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice to senior staff and contribute to decision-making processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in evaluating and improving university-level programs
