About the role
SA Power Networks' Asset Management team is responsible for driving continuous improvement in the systems and practices that support the safe, reliable operation of the network. An opportunity has arisen for an Asset Management Transformation Specialist to join the team on an initial 2-year fixed-term contract, supporting the delivery of the Asset Management Improvement Plan and key strategic change initiatives.
Reporting to the Asset Management System Manager, the role works with senior leaders and subject matter experts to assess asset management maturity, identify improvement opportunities, and support the prioritisation and integration of strategic workstreams. The role bridges business needs and technical solutions through strong analysis, performance reporting and stakeholder engagement, ensuring initiatives remain aligned to strategic objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.

About you
Applications are encouraged from strategic and analytical asset management or transformation professionals, or individuals with strong technical or operational experience seeking to move into a strategic improvement role.
You bring a strong understanding of asset management principles and systems, with the ability to assess current-state maturity, identify improvement opportunities, and support the delivery of strategic change. You are comfortable partnering with senior leaders and subject matter experts, translating complex information into clear insights, priorities and actions.
You are a confident influencer with strong stakeholder engagement skills, advanced analytical capability, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to support effective decision-making.
Other requirements:
* Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Business, Asset Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Experience in asset management, strategic transformation, program or portfolio management, or a similar role.
* Strong understanding of asset management frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, reporting and visualisation (Power BI, Excel).
* Working knowledge of project management methodologies.
* Energy or utilities sector experience (highly desirable).
* Asset management or project management certification (advantageous).
