Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining adequate administration frameworks and ensuring the business plans are vigorous, minimizing risks and failures.
Job Statement
We are seeking a Manager Commercial to oversee commercial, administration, supply, and business improvement functions at the operation. You will support the leadership team with physical and financial forecasting, reporting, contract management, and modeling financial discipline across operating and capital expenditure. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work a 4 days on, 3 days off roster, with time in the corporate office as needed.
The Opportunity
1. Commercial and Site Administration:
* Develop and maintain commercial systems and procedures for the long-term operation.
* Manage site-based Administration, IT, Business Improvement, and Supply/Purchasing teams.
* Oversee administration of site camp and flights contracts, ensuring reliable performance.
* Participate in commercial, contract, and tender discussions and negotiations with the Contracts team.
* Assist contract managers to achieve outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with financial, legal, statutory obligations, and law.
* Review and advise on contractual entitlements and requirements.
2. Business Improvement
* Lead the business improvement function.
* Drive continuous improvement onsite with a disciplined approach to embedment within the value chain.
3. Produce site financial reports and analysis:
4. Assist in preparing operating budgets, life of mine, and forecasting updates.
5. Maintain compliance with operating and capital cost structures.
6. Coordinate monthly financial reporting, physicals, analysis, and commentary.
7. Undertake ad hoc finance projects as required.
8. Support the Site Leadership team and role model financial thinking:
* Promote cost management and business improvement environment.
* Oversee purchase to pay expenditure system.
* Assist with capital expenditure applications and cost allocations.
* Develop systems to track operating performance.
* Ensure contract compliance for goods and services.

* Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, or equivalent.
* Minimum 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, with 5+ years in a mining environment.
* Proven leadership in delivering sound financial performance.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modeling.
