Our Global Internal Audit team provides independent assurance over the effectiveness of Macquarie's internal controls, risk management, and governance practices. Based in Sydney, you'll work alongside specialists who support our Financial Management, People and Engagement, and Risk Management Groups, contributing to the continuous strengthening of our organisation.

What role will you play?

You will review and assess the effectiveness of our internal control framework and risk management activities across key central service functions. You will also collaborate with teams across the wider organisation to support enhancements to our overall risk management approach. Your work will help ensure strong governance and the continual improvement of core processes that are essential to Macquarie.

What You Offer

* Previous experience in an audit or risk-focused role, ideally within a financial services environment
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge and ask thoughtful questions
* The ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
* Experience working both independently and with teams across global locations
* A curious mindset with an interest in developing innovative approaches to validating risk outcomes, including the use of analytics or AI tools.

About the Internal Audit Division

The Internal Audit Division provides independent and objective risk-based assurance on the effectiveness of Macquarie's risk management framework. Our global team conducts risk-based reviews focused on the effective operation of controls and governance processes, identifying insights through innovation and critical thinking. Our collaboration across all Groups is crucial to highlight potential risks and ensures compliance with regulatory standards in maintaining Macquarie's integrity and success.
