About the Role
The Urban Forest Policy Officer plays a pivotal part in ensuring the sustainable management, enhancement, and protection of public green spaces and tree assets within both natural and urban environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and support policies, strategies, and initiatives relating to parks and the urban forest across the region.
* Provide high-level strategic and technical advice on complex issues, including development applications, planning proposals, vegetation management, and urban greening.
* Work closely with internal teams, including planning, environment, and asset management, as well as liaise with external stakeholders such as developers, community groups, government agencies, and consultants.
