Registered Nurse (RN)
As a Registered Nurse at Ocean State Job Lot, you will be responsible for providing direct quality patient care, exercising judgment in delegating tasks, and participating in professional development to enhance patient-focused nursing practice. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, promote safety and adherence to universal precautions, and contribute to the hospital's performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver evidence-based patient care, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
* Participate in unit-specific performance improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize patient outcomes.
* Develop and maintain proficiency in using equipment, facilitating maintenance, and adhering to dress code policies.
* Serve as a resource for coordination of activities on a single unit, assessing unit needs, and assigning tasks accordingly.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress, including vital signs, intake and output, and other physical observations.
Hospital Expectations:
* Adhere to organization-wide policies and procedures, upholding Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
* Perform within prescribed limits of the hospital's Ethics, Compliance, and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
* Abide by professional Scope of Practice at all times.
Other Duties As Assigned:
* Graduate of accredited college or university with a degree in nursing.
* Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state where employed.
* Ongoing certification requirements include Stroke in-service annually, CPR, NIH Stroke Certification, ACLS, NRP/STABLE certification, and current employee maintenance of certifications.
