The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in expanding market presence, developing strategic customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across the building, construction, trade, and design sectors.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the market, connecting with people, uncovering opportunities, and turning relationships into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across the construction, building, trade, and design sectors
* Build and nurture strong relationships with builders, architects, designers, contractors, and industry stakeholders
* Provide expert product advice and tailored solutions to meet client requirements
* Drive revenue growth through a combination of outbound business development, networking, referrals, and inbound opportunities
* Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations
* Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
* Manage and grow a healthy sales pipeline while achieving agreed performance targets
* Collaborate closely with internal operations and project teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences and successful project delivery
About You
You are a proactive and relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys creating opportunities and delivering results.
You will ideally bring:
* Previous experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, or a similar commercial role
* Experience within the flooring, timber flooring, construction, building products, interiors, or related industries highly regarded
* A proven track record of generating new business and growing customer relationships
* Strong networking and relationship-building skills
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
* A self-motivated and proactive approach
* Strong commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset
