Role Overview:

As the LMS Manager, you'll play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping the digital learning experience for our students and staff. With a deep understanding of the Canvas LMS and a passion for innovation, you'll lead the optimisation and ongoing development of our Learning Management System—ensuring it remains responsive, reliable, and aligned with educational and organisational priorities.

You’ll collaborate across departments, guide academic teams in maintaining high-quality, compliant course content, and empower staff through training and support. Your ability to turn data into insights will enhance learning outcomes, streamline administrative processes, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the strategic management and continuous optimisation of the LMS, ensuring reliable performance, effective system integration, and alignment with institutional learning and development goals.
* Enhance the quality and compliance of learning content by collaborating with academic teams, maintaining up-to-date course materials, and supporting VET and Higher Education program delivery.
* Empower users through targeted training, responsive support, and clear documentation, fostering a confident and capable LMS user base across academic, administrative, and support teams.
* Leverage data analytics and reporting to drive improvement, using insights to enhance user engagement, streamline operations, and support informed decision-making

Key Skills & Qualifications

* Skills : Knowledge of Canvas LMS, including content structuring, LTI integration, and multimedia course design tailored to VET and Higher Education. Skilled in system configuration, troubleshooting, user support, and analytics. Strong leadership, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Proficient in Microsoft 365, basic HTML/CSS, and familiar with system integration concepts.
* Experience : Proven experience in managing LMS platforms within educational settings, with experience in a leadership or administrative LMS role. Demonstrated success in training delivery, data reporting, compliance alignment, and process optimisation across diverse teams.
* Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related discipline. Certifications in platforms such as Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard are highly regarded. Additional expertise in Power BI, data visualisation, and ITIL Foundation is a plus.

* Training & Communication Excellence – Skilled in delivering effective training and creating clear documentation, you empower users across varying skill levels with confidence and clarity.
* Problem Solver & Innovator – You're proactive, solution-oriented, and always looking for ways to optimise systems and streamline processes through innovation and automation.
* Compliance & Quality Focused – You’re highly aware of regulatory frameworks like AQF, TEQSA, and ASQA, ensuring that systems and content align with industry standards.
* Adaptable & Forward-Thinking – With a future-focused mindset, you stay current with digital learning trends and are eager to explore new technologies that enhance the student experience and operational efficiency.
