Introduction: Catherine House has supported women out of homelessness since 1988. We provide crisis, recovery and longer-term accommodation, as well as outreach services and an integrated Women's Centre that supports mental health, wellbeing, education, and community connection. Location: Adelaide. Employment type: Casual. Salary: $44.23 - $48.16 per hour plus 12% superannuation depending on experience.

About The Role
You will provide practical and emotional support to women living in our Recovery Program and Supported Accommodation Service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork and helping others build capacity and independence.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver day-to-day client support including crisis response, daily living assistance, and independent living skill development.
* Assist with administration tasks such as record keeping, referrals, and client documentation.
* Support meal preparation, housekeeping and general household tasks.
* Work collaboratively with case workers and program staff to deliver safe, person-centred care.
* Contribute to a respectful, safe and supportive environment for clients.
Skills and Experiences
About You
* Experience supporting clients with mental health challenges, trauma, or disadvantage.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgemental approach.
* Ability to manage incidents, de-escalation and crisis situations calmly.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented frameworks.
* Experience in meal preparation, housekeeping, and group capacity-building activities.
You must agree to undergo any required employment screening, including but not limited to a National Criminal History or Police Check, Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
