Mildura Base Public Hospital’s Mental Health Services are offering a unique opportunity to join the dynamic medical team. The service provides the full range of specialist public mental health services to a population of approximately 70,000 people across an area of 25,000 square kilometres.

As a Specialist Psychiatrist, you will provide leadership in the provision of high-quality psychiatric services to our clients. This excellent opportunity offers the flexibly of either full time or part time work to suit your lifestyle.
You will work closely with inpatient and consultation-liaison psychiatrists and our Clinical Director, fostering collaboration within our experienced and diverse medical team. This role is ideal for a new fellow seeking a mentored experience with unique opportunities not typically available in metropolitan and regional areas.
There is an excellent opportunity available, Part Time (0.6 FTE) commencing late July 2025.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Primary medical degree and specialist qualifications in Psychiatry.
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or eligibility for Fellowship.
Experience in crisis intervention and home treatment settings is highly desirable.
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
Candidates must hold specialist qualifications in Psychiatry (FRANZCP) or equivalent and registration with AHPRA. The base salary range is $255,706 to $351,601 pa FTE depending on experience as well as a rural incentive allowance.
