The Role: Based at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), provide a high standard of Food Service to hospital patients, staff and patrons in accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, plating, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice. Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training. Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines. Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. The Team: A fast paced work environment within a great team. LGH Food Services provides meals to over 300 patients daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) 365 days a year. Shift work with a combination early morning starts, evening shifts, including a combination of weekdays and weekends. Details of appointment: Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing on a mutually agreed upon date. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $57,130 - $62,486 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year other benefits if eligible. Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40 fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $14.50 per week per person, or $28.05 for a family.
