The Role: Based at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), provide a high standard of Food Service to hospital patients, staff and patrons in accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, plating, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice. Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training. Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines. LGH Food Services provides meals to over 300 patients daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) 365 days a year. Shift work with a combination early morning starts, evening shifts, including a combination of weekdays and weekends.
